Payment methods
One method, and this page is the whole of it: cash, handed to the courier, when the parcel is in your hands. That is how MarketSaves is paid on every order, in every country we deliver to.
Cash on delivery
The courier collects the total from your order summary: the price of the goods, times the quantity. Delivery is free, so nothing sits on top of it, and nothing is added at the door.

The summary shows the price, the quantity and the total, with nothing added for delivery. Nothing leaves your pocket at this point.

We read the total back to you
On the confirmation call, the agent repeats the exact amount the courier will collect, so there is no surprise at the door.

You pay the courier
Cash, in your hands to theirs, when the parcel is handed over. Count it out before you sign for the parcel.
Bring the amount as close to exact as you can. Couriers carry very little change, and a large note can mean a second trip. If you decide at the door that you do not want the parcel after all, refuse it: you pay nothing, and you owe us no explanation.
What this shop does not do
Worth stating plainly, because it is the part people check before typing an address into a shop they have not used before.
- No card number is entered on this site. There is no payment page, no card field and no checkout with a bank behind it.
- No card details are asked for, written down or stored anywhere, by us or by the courier.
- Nothing is paid in advance: no deposit, no part payment, no bank transfer before dispatch.
- No account is opened and no payment method is saved for a future order.
Refunds are the one moment money travels the other way. Since the courier took cash, there is nothing to credit back, so we pay by SEPA bank transfer to an account you name — the procedure is on the Right of Withdrawal and Returns and Refunds pages.
Paying outside the euro area
The site prices everything in euro. In four of the countries we deliver to, the courier is paid in the national currency instead, and collects the equivalent of the euro total.

The local amount is set before the parcel is dispatched and travels with it on the courier's paperwork, so it does not move while the parcel is on its way, whatever the exchange rate does. Ask for the figure on the confirmation call if you want it in advance. In the other six countries we serve — Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal — you simply pay the euro total.
Anything else about the money
- Can I have an invoice?
- Yes. Write to us with the order reference and the details to print on it, and it comes back by email as a PDF, normally within 2 working days.
- Does the courier give a receipt?
- Yes. The courier issues a receipt or a signed delivery document for the cash collected. Keep it: with our confirmation message it is your proof of purchase for the guarantee.
- Is there a fee for paying in cash?
- No. Neither we nor the courier charges for collecting the money at the door, any more than for bringing the parcel there.
- Can somebody else pay for me?
- Yes. Whoever is at the address can take the parcel and hand over the money; the courier does not check who is paying.
- Can I pay for part of the order?
- No. The courier collects the whole amount or takes the parcel back. If only part of the order arrived, refuse it and write to us the same day.
- When do I owe anything at all?
- Only at the door. An order that is never delivered, refused or cancelled on the call leaves you owing nothing, and nothing to claim back.
