What you get

A countertop sealer that pulls the air out of a bag and welds it shut in one pass of 10 to 15 seconds. With less air around it, food keeps longer in the fridge and the freezer, and freezer burn is reduced; portions lie flat and stack like books. Two modes handle dry foods and moist ones such as marinated meat, and a seal-only button closes crisp or coffee bags without vacuum. Suction is 60 kPa and the sealing bar is 30 cm wide, so it takes bags and rolls up to 28 cm. A hose port connects to vacuum canisters. Ten bags are included to start with.

    We buy meat in bigger amount from a farmer and I portion it and seal it. The bags lie flat in the freezer and take half the place than the boxes before. It makes a strong seal, I tested by pressing the bag under water, no bubbles.

    I looked for a vacuum sealer not too big for a small kitchen, this one goes in the drawer. The moist mode is good for marinated chicken, the liquid did not go into the machine.
