The item

What you get

A flat glass-top scale that weighs from 1 g up to 5 kg in 1 g steps, enough for a pinch of yeast and for a full mixing bowl. Put the bowl on, press tare, and the display returns to zero so you weigh only what goes in; press again between ingredients. Units switch between grams, ounces, pounds and millilitres for water and milk. The tempered-glass surface has no buttons to trap flour, just two touch keys, and wipes clean with a damp cloth. At 18 mm thick it slides into a drawer. Two AAA batteries are included, and it turns itself off after 2 minutes.

    I bake sourdough bread and I need exact grams for salt and yeast. This scale reacts even on 1-2 grams and the tare button I use ten times per recipe. Flat, glass top, one wipe and it is clean.
