What you get

A cordless handheld vacuum sized for cars: footwells, seat rails, the gap beside the handbrake. The motor pulls 9,000 Pa, enough for sand, crumbs and pet hair on fabric seats. One charge gives about 25 minutes of running time, which covers a full interior with some to spare. The 0.5-litre dust cup twists off and empties without touching the dirt, and the steel-mesh filter rinses under the tap. Three attachments are included: a long crevice nozzle, a brush for vents and dashboard, and a short flexible hose for under the seats. Weighs 680 g. Charges over USB-C in about 3.5 hours.

    Two kids and a dog, so my car seats were a disaster. This small vacuum takes crumbs and hair from the fabric quite well, and the narrow nozzle goes between the seats where the big hoover never reached. Emptying is easy, just twist and shake over the bin.

    Filter washes under water, dry until next day. Suction is fine for sand after the beach, that was my main reason.
